Hi, recently heard the copy on the llama, noticed an anomaly in Fire
(source notes reel change at ~5:40). I never noticed this cut on my old
tape because it and around 30-40 seconds were 'surgically' cut out at some
point in the lineage - this 'modified' version seems to be the same timing
as you l
I'm sorry for the WOB here, but both Paul Cotton and Paul Gibian at various times
promised me up-to-date copies of the complete 3/18/77 jam SBD. Are either of you
here, or has anyone heard from either of them? Thanks.

I sent Scott what I had of a partial copy of an
alternate SBD source (2nd set but for drums edited, and Minglewood,
Scarlet>Fire from the 1st set) and a copy of Rob Bertrando's AUD tape as a
reference. Scott's initial assessment of the alternate NFA was that it was
complete (see his note).

Is this going to have a better patch in Not Fade Away then what is currently
going around, I have this on
Scott Clugston requested a copy of Rob's AUD
for comparison, which I sent ca him ca. 10 days ago.

Is someone putting together the most complete version of this show yet?
I don't know what new version Rob has passed on to
Paul but it is not mine. Once Scott Clugston (see "Re: 3.18.77 revisited")
gets done with his wizardry we'll get this into circulation.

David did patch the reel flip very nicely, so it sounds like there is

Right. I just closed the gap so it would sound smooth on the radio.

I sent a copy of the Estimated through the end of show to Paul Gibian, who
was going to be sure that there was in fact nothing missing from the "new"
3/18/77 SBD. I want to be sure because: 1)Dick and David Gans were able to
find only one copy of 3/18/77 in the vault (although there the
I'm all for it Rob (i.e. providing a SBD
patch). A skilled tweaker has agreed to take on the task. I'm not
about to put him on a timetable but an upgrade of the critical point of a most
worthy show has now entered the pipeline.
Paul
Someone should put together a complete SBD of 3/18/77 then since the missing
segment of NFA could well be (is, IMHO) the high point of an excellent show;
an intense Caution jam. BTW, don't necessarily be fooled into thinking
there is a piece of St Stephen missing; they didn't sing one verse.
For what it's worth, my 1st gen SBD has no gap and
no patch in NFA. The patch is in St. Stephen. It would seem
safe to conclude that there are at least two SBD sources in
circulation.
Paul
There is definitely 0:34 or so missing from the SBD of NFA; there is a CD in
circulation with the missing piece patched.
I have
a quick comment about this show….
