Sure - the affected machines were running etch / amd64 so the version
installed from experimental worked just fine. The sarge backport
version installed on several other systems we have which use this as

RIPE IPv6 prefix 2001:610:240::/48 is unreachable, I don't even receive
ICMPv6 Destination Unreachable messages. As 'whois.ripe.net' resolves to

You ask me about the problem with DS9. When the ds9 is started (for
instance from an xterm) it opens normally. Then if a display command
is executed in Iraf, an error message starts to show up in the xterm and

This limit causes problems e.g. with screen / ssh, if you have lots of
screens open, you can't get a pty allocated for your ssh session.
