/dev/input/by-* links are created for it. This is because

Here is an update to Trent's patch to enable building a 32-bit scsh on
an amd64 machine. There have been slight changes to the scsh source
since he submitted it back in January; it now works with
scsh-0.6/0.6.7-5. Directions are as he wrote:
