Goes further, but still no ntp[d] process around after starting via
init.d script. Here's what's now in the syslog:

Hi,
Your package is failing to build with the following error:
x86_64-linux-gnu-gcc -O2 -g -Wall -Wmissing-prototypes -Werror .libs/guileS.o
-o .libs/guile guile-guile.o -Wl,--export-dynamic ./.libs/libguile.so
/usr/lib/libgmp.so -lcrypt
Yes, it is the loading order.
This /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf works

reopen bugnumber #510506
thanks
Well, I should sleep more.
#495914 was the bug concerned. Not this one which is still relevant !

It seems libmysqlclient creates some problems with gcc 4.3, note that
all work with 5.0:
/bin/sh /users/frankie/debian/debian-gis/supported/gdal/gdal-1.6.0/libtool
--mode=compile --tag=CXX g++ -g -O2 -fvisibility=hidden -Wall -I

I'm on an x86_64 machine.
I believe this bug is due to Bash's builtin malloc implementation only
supporting sbrk() and not mmap() to get memory.
I'd like to suggest that the correct resolution of this bug is to
disable bash's builtin malloc and simply use glibc

From Mac XP you neither can ever reset the shell, nor must get access over the
port 38 to the case to a 3D periferic for renaming a coaxial SMTP login.
