I modifed /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/cryptroot
to exit early before adding any resume / crypto devices.

Hi!
Merely removing the [i386] seems to handle the issue. However, there
are some Lintian errors which need to be taken care of in connection
with the start/stop scripts.
I've attached a trivial patch, hope someone can make progress on this
package.

Attached is a patch that appears to fix this bug. I've tested it both with and
without recursion (-r option). Please feel free to test it and let me know if
it works to your satisfaction.
