I saw the help request submitted to the samba mailing list by A.

Let me know. Thanks.

Seems like I was too quick to decide it was graphics mode, after setting
/etc/default/grub with:
# Uncomment to disable graphical terminal (grub-pc only)

Greetings fellow maintainers,
I brought a few changes to vtk-dicom to address the remaining RC
bug #988643. Changes are available on Salsa for review[1]. You
will find a debdiff against the version in bullseye attached. I
did a few tests to make sure the issue is corrected, such as:

Has an upstream issue been filed for this?
This happens on the latest Debian/Testing when booting a HP ML110 Gen9 with
EFI, the screen goes gray and nothing happens when it tries to boot
Memtest86+.
An example of GRUB code to not show the Memtest86+ menu item when booted from
EFI was given, why can't that be used?

Dear Maintainer,
On a fresh install install of Bullseye the kde-plasma-desktop
metapackage was installed as per information at
https://wiki.debian.org/KDE kde-plasma-desktop was chosen as the most
minimal option for installing KDE.
Oops, one wrong address, re-sending.
