Bug#850608: Gnome applications’ UIs aren’t translated when run from menu

This problem does not occur in GNOME sessions when the system locale (/etc/default/locale) is set to the desired language. It also doesn’t occur when I run any of the affected apps from a Plasma session (that was started from SDDM), even if the system locale is English.
