I think with the above solution this should be no longer a problem as
we run the sysv emulation from within runsvdir.
Hopefully this will make your "runit" life easier (?)

e performed by the init in charge (sysvinit or systemd).
Runit-run package only runs stage 2 to spawn a runsvdir process.
In case of Sysvinit, scripts in /etc/rc0.d/ or /etc/rc6.d/ are run by
Sysv via /etc/init.d/rc script and Sysv's halt is used, so no problem
with "unsupported options".

I just discovered a typo that happened when #1000478 was fixed: the
'postrm-sysuser' snippet that calls sysuser-helper with 'prerm' instead
of 'postrm'. Because of this the purge action becomes a
Mark, I think the Devuan bug can be closed or marked as reassigned to

Isn't a conflict with systemd-sysv package enough?
As systemd starts rsyslog with '-iNONE' another approach could be to
test for the PID file before HUP

fine with plasma-workspace/kwin-x11, as I'm doing right now.
Please consider to add an OR dependency like
plasma-workspace-wayland | plasma-workspace
so that users can choose to install only packages that they need,
like only X11 or only wayland.
