defaults to the empty string is a strange idea of numbers. ;-)
I'll test it.

If I want to start synaptic as non root user, I get the message

But the used password is ok, for example su works with
the used password.

Hi,
in Sid, CVE-2006-6169 has been fixed with 1.4.5-3, but 1.4.1-1.sarge5
from Sarge is still missing the fix and therefore vulnerable.
Details:
Package: fai-client
Version: 3.2.10
Severity: important
Using FAI version 3.2.10 on Lenny (both Clients and Server).
We need the softupdate functionality. The basic install works fine with
our configuration file, however during soft-updates the installations
stops, whenever configuration files,
in order to have completely automatic
soft-updates (I spent some time to identify this problem, as I
exceptected that the softupdate's would work out-of-the-box completely
automatic).
regards,
Axel

There was at least one time on Friday where it didn't work on one of
the 64 bit machines while it worked afterwards on the 32 bit machine.
Currently we use the netboot image snapshots from 17th of September on
our PXE boot server.
Kind regards, Axel Beckert

Probably the only relevant package which changed at all during the
