Package: mahara-apache2
Version: 0.9.1-1
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks unrelated software
The apache configuration of mahara changes the global document root of

Debian Release:
I had the same problem upgrading slib (3b1-1) for gnucash.
Creating directory /usr/share/guile/site manually solved the problem.

Could we add a big fat warning about these savegame incompatibilities?
I really think it's utterly stupid to design any program that saves data

is to embed a version in the

If that doesn't work, perhaps you could try to get a backtrace of running one
of the segfaulting binaries against a non-stripped glide library (i.e.
rebuild with something like DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=nostrip debuild).

could you try rebuilding glide with -fno-strict-aliasing? I have attached a
diff that patches debian/rules to add that to CFLAGS. This is mainly just
guessing but the same solution did fix a similar bug in mesa recently.

Argh! Thank you for persisting with this. I have now looked at the
code and you are right it does not do the same thing. This is
because when Yura ported my $LogFile code from the kernel for some
unknown to me (or forgotten by me) reason he did
on libx11-dev.
I am therefore reopening this bug.

Here is the very simple patch that should make user authentication work
with the default installation of apache2. I confirm that this bug bites
many people, and some people in #apache on Freenode seem now frankly
pissed by Debian because of it. :-/
