Just thought I'd check in. Again, as pointed out, this is a SCSI implementation.
Got the card today at around 1pm. By 3pm I was installing the OS. What took so long?
The CD

Very good.
More food for thought and consideration.

Have a look at /etc/ppp/ip-up and ip-down scripts they both export some
env vars you may find useful when setting iptables rules.
Does anyone know how can I put iptables firewall script onto a firewall where is more
ppp connectoins?

I had the same question not too long ago, and 3ware came up as one of the choices.
But, if I
remember correctly, it slows the system down quite a bit on a rebuild.
I have since been told by some guru's I know that the IBM ServeRaid 3HB (IBM p/n

the best choice, and mine is being del

I would refer you to SCSI low-level drivers in the kernel config or

Here is what the 2.4.20 Linux Kernel config says about 3ware:
This info was wound under 'SCSI low-level drivers' section

Hi,
First thanks to all who have replied.
We're all busy so I do appreciate the time taken
to tap out a reply message.
It's very interesting and in some ways what I expected.
There is no right or wrong.
Just like programing there is many ways to the top of the mountain.
So for me it's come down
I repeat the earlier question: Why not exim? I really don't know. I have fallen in
love with
it, thought the tools to configure do not exists (Oh my God, I actually have to
MANUALLY edit
the config file).
I have a small installation, but intend to grow, and if there will be a problem with
exim,

I'd pick exim or postfix over either of those, but then again I've only
dealt with smaller mail installations.
Take care,

Hi,
so how does exim compare in all of this?
Sorry Jamie - In my case, and my case alone, Exim doesn't compare.
There are many very good MTA's out there.
For me I know Sendmail - ( I compile from source ).
I've heard lots of good things about Qmail to I did consider that one only.
Also every Guru
