Why not use ESTMP ETRN service of Sendmail or Postfix? Why the complicated
setup? If you setup the mailer daemon to route mail to the other places
and it can't connect it will queuewhen the other place connects and it
becomes live it can send an ETRN command for the domains/destinations it
All this assumes that you need to ration your dialup time. If not use
something like freesco.org to make the connection on demand and use
regular smtp/ftp/http etc to allow people remote access to your Strasbourg
server(s)
