I configured kaddressbook in kontact to look up addresses in an LDAP
server. I use SSL and SASL/DIGEST-MD5. If I start the Contacts view
rights after starting contact, it takes about one minute to load the

Here is a patch to enable -fvisibility gcc option in gcc and so in kde
applications. Qt 3.3.5 doesn't have this patch :(

(KDE from sid, most other packages from etch).
I run pbuilder to satisfy build-dependencies, and installed everything it
