I think you are on slightly the wrong list. I understand your
confusion, this is the Debian mentors mailing list, but instead of
GSoc mentoring, this list handles package mentoring. The list you want
is the soc-coordination [1] list.

Hi Rex,
In my opinion a more appropriate place for you question would be the
Debian mentors list. This list is more meant for Debian development. I
have cc'ed it as such.
Why do you need to do anything above the normal for this. The package
sun-java6-jdk exists in the Debian non-free repository.
Hello,
I am building packages for the arm elf toolchain. However I have ran in
to some problems. The three components binutils, the gcc and newlib are
in different packages. To build the toolchain you compile binutils, then

Not a direct answer to your question, but, when I was using Ubuntu I had
a script that I was using to make about 300 packages, I only had to type
in my key once or twice. I have been trying to work out how to do it on
Debian but so far have come up short.

Dear Mentors,
My package uses 4 original tarballs, one of the files within these needs
to be patched, however the patch fails. I think this is because it is
not extracting the additional original tarballs in to the temporary

This is part of the build log:
