1- When I try to execute fvwm (or fvwm2 or gwm) I get the error message:
fvwm: can't load library 'libXpm.so.4'
However, the library is where it is supposed to be
(/usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so.4 which is a s-link to libXpm.so.4.

NMI is intel nomenclature for non maskable interrupt, and
it might mean the same under linux. If so, then the kernel
is receiving an interrupt that it doesn't know how to process.
I haven't hacked kernel code for linux, so I don't know the

generic than that. with a 14" monitor and all standard IDE stuff. Nary a
problem installing Linux on this or my 'OLD' IBM laptop. Even the SB PNP16

called faxsetup... this program runs a configuration checkup to verify that

it seems that netscape has problems when the environment variable LANG
is set to de_DE. The postscript file produced by netscape isn't
correct in this case
e.g. With LANG variable set:

during an update form Debian 1.1 to Debian 1.2.2 I purged the base
package "base" from Debian 1.1 (dselect show this package as obsolete)
Afterwards all files in /dev where missing.
Are there any substitutions for this package? Which package must I
reinstall to get everything working?
