to install debian (if it succeeds) on a number of machines in a computer
lab. Netinstall is no good for that. I want to do it with the full set
of CDs.

should be enough i thought ?
And i have the kernel source, that's where i point to in my command.
I did a make menuconfig for my kernel configuration and then a make
