Sorry, but I failed to mention that the previous error message was the result
of trying
to man ircii. When I try and run ircii, I get
ircii: Command not found.
That error message is printed right after I install the deb package for the
2nd, 3rd,.etc.

Question: Am I even on the right trail to a solution? If so, what needs to go
where in the /etc/fstab file? Or if I am completely lost, could someone send me
in the right direction.

the XFree86 original version and xdm loaded just fine. But this time,
for some reason loading the newer version has messed up my xdm. I can
get an X session up and running with no problems, but I really don't
want to type startx every time I log in. Any possible solutions?

have a segmentation fault in line
such and such. Everything seems to work fine after the boot up but it is
annoying that I have a 'segmentation fault and I don't know what to do
to fix it. Do I use fsck or e2fsck to fix it or is it a problem to be
concerned with.

When I execute pon to connect to my isp, most of the time I connect
with no problems. But about 10 to 20 percent of the time I get a

prompt was sername:, and when I watch the text scroll through the

kereld, and kmod but it was a little confusing and I have probably
missed some step somewhere. I could sure use some advise about now,
because I am beginning to think that I have stepped into water that is a
little too deep for me.

You need to edit /etc/printcap and change lp1 to lp0. Not sure why this
is setup this way, do you have more than one parallel device?
Hmm. I look at my printcap, and by default it's set to lp1.

not know how to tranfer files to my other hard
drive, which has Win95 installed on it. I need to know is it Linux
that is disconnecting me from my ISP or is it the ISP that is having
trouble recognizing Linux's ppp program. If it is a Linux problem
does anyone have a solution.
