I Win9x versions the hosts file is in C:\WINDOWS folder and there should be
a hosts.sam file which is a sample host file that you can rename and append.
In Windows NT and 2000 the hosts file is in C:\WINNT\System32\drivers\etc
and again, there should be a hosts.sam file.
Good luck

O.K., I know that this could go on ad finitum but I had to chime in.
Debian was actually the first Linux distro I ever installed ( on a BW
Macintosh no less and I'm a PC guy!! :-) ). Aside from some frustrations
with yaboot the installation was smooth. Had some XServer problems and

David,
I was getting this error on my RedHat machine at home and it turned out to
be ipchains. I didn't have rules in place to allow the inbound traffic on
the netbios ports (137-139). Are you using ipchains or iptables?

web server. Is there a default rule that doesn't allow access on a samba
share without modification?

Hello,
I was trying to download and compile the drivers for this board from the
Digi web site and then I realized that Debian has the ecpa module already
there. Has anyone used this successfully? Anyone have any tips or a good
URL to set up the Digiboard??
P.S. This is a newbie asking!
Thank
