I have a sarge installation and only got to chose between gdm and xdm.
I have read the thread on GUI login screen and have a difficulty to decide
what to do to get rid of a graphic login.

-HOWTO I gathered that I could use 'ether=' as boot parameters to
this compiled in driver. I have an installation of Mandrake8.0-Cooker and
from that I got irq=10 and io= d000 - d0ff.
I thus booted with 'linux ether=10,0xd000,eth0' and got no better.
What am I doing wrong?

said yes to all dependencies when in select. That's about it.

There was a hell of a lot of warnings during installation
the Helix code reign. I intend to install
