The mentioned patch I posted to freedesktop.org
was finally pushed to the current master (to be released when?)
by Alan Coppersomith.
Pushed to ssh://git.freedesktop.org/git/xorg/lib/libX11:

Thank you in advance for your attention.

I wonder if Debian packager can incorporate the fix in
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=690826
without waiting for the upstream fix.
I have received several inquiries when the patch will be incorporated in the
libX11 from Xorg. I have no idea myself.
TIA

Hi, all.
I've tried to build new xterm.deb package from Thomas' tree last
weekend. I think it is 1st step for pruning xterm from xorg-x11 orig
tarball (it is listed in TODO list of xorg-x11)
Sources and binary (for i386) are available bellow:

* If we standardize on just one, which one should it be?
I think fd.o's modualized implemantation is the best solution.

* patch #551: new; fix for static server build on sh3/sh4 (ISHIKAWA
Mutsumi)
Perhaps ISHIKAWA-san remembers this?
cfb4, cfb16, cfb24, cfb32 use some cfb functions, we should
link libcfb.a after libcfb{4,16,24,32}.a to be able to solve these
symbols for static linked server.
I
with versions of cpp-3.3 prior to
1:3.3.3ds1-0pre1.
I believe, we should drop 003a_damn_cpp_3.3_to_hell.diff patch
with this change.
