If you cd onto Desktop, you can't tell find to look in Desktop/Denemo.app.
just have it look in Denemo.app.

Hi Jeremiah,
The folder, "Desktop" is on my Finder's desktop. In that folder is the Denemo
app.
I open the Terminal window:

anthonyventura$
I issue the following command to change to the Finder's desktop
cd ~/Desktop

I read the logs. It is complaining that it is missing lilypond-bin. Can you
go into terminal and do this:
find Desktop/Denemo.app/ -name 'lilypond-bin'
If it does not find it then you don't have the updated release. You may
have mixed up the files?

When Denemo is launched for the first time, it creates some files on
your hard disk to store personal settings. The files created by the
broken build of Denemo may cause problems. Thus it is a good idea to
remove them in order to start afresh. Richard pointed you to where these
files are located.
Richard,
Sorry for my stupidity, but I'm really not sure what you're referring to. All
I'm doing is double-clicking on the Denemo icon to launch. Should I be
following some other procedure. Kind regards,Tony Venturawww.tonyventura.com

Thanks, Richard, getting to teach today & tomorrow, will get this asap.
Also, just now for the first time on my newer MacBook Pro 2016, I was able to
launch Denemo by double-clicking, instead of launching via the Terminal,
pasting this string:

That is to say a directory whose name starts ".denemo-" followed by a
version number. It is
dealing with work issues. I'll have to revisit this later.

Can you give the URL that you used to download?
