collection, that's not really a simple player, it should play a song

Sorry I'm not able to try this anymore. I've changed my laptop... it
should have worked in general.
But I'm missing some video shortcuts at Keyboard Shortcuts. There is
only Sound.

This happens because of a change in Gnome : Gnome now uses a Gnome
Control Center. A link to it should appear in your System menu.
Please reboot and see if it does appear.
If it does run mv ~/.config/menus/system.menu
~/.config/menus/system.menu.undo-1 in a Terminal.

on a newly installed ubuntu edgy (from dapper) i got my theme messed up,
i opened the gnome theme manager to change it and eventually i selected
a broken icon theme or something like that.
gnome crashed, i ctrl+alt+del and rebooted gnome

The best option would probably to fix packages which don't list a main
category to mention Education or the other best matching one. One extra
menu category would require to pick between Education and Science which
is not ideal

Using Feisty Herd 2 x86_64, dist-upgraded just before I started gimp

Every time I start the GIMP I can see lots of Sorry, the program
whirlpinch.py closed unexpectedly. (same message about 20-30 times,
every time different script names)

I have to note that i have added 2 lines to /etc/hosts and that since a
short time i even get a crash when i run network-admin with sudo or
gksudo.

I will try, but this is very difficult if I can't connect to the network
as this gives my internet connection.
I will try to fugure a way but hopefully someone else will confirm this
in the meantime.
