I have this issue on 2 different systems. Both are fresh installs and
up-to-date.
One system is a server-install and ubuntu-desktop on top, the other is a
plain Deskop CD install.
On the desktop install machine the theme change worked, but the background
colour is not correct (although set to

The same here...as in Feisty. It's really nasty that this wasn't fixed
in Feisty already. Is it really so hard to get this working? I know it
is because Nautilus hasn't a feature needed by File-rollers Dnd, but

I'm using gutsy tribe 5 an get this mensage in /var/log/syslog:
Sep 3 22:55:59 localhost gdm[5493]: WARNING: Server name '0' not found;
using standard server
I didn't change any config file.
When I try to use xdmp in gdm login screen, i get this:
Why do you like it in evo but not like it in Rhythmbox, Nautilus,
Synaptic, or any of the other applications that use a list view?
It's inconsistent with everything else, that's why it should be ridden!

I actually do have a bug. If I do ps aux | gdm I get the following:

On gutsy, with gedit 2.19.91, search for things like \nli works, i.e.
find the expected li after a new line.
Then things go wrong. When opening the search dialog a second time, the
search string has been replaced with \\nli, escaping the backslashes
in the search string. So
Should there be an option to disable escaping? Or is there a way to make
this obvious to people who don’t know about escaping?
