I wanted to report this affects Karmic as well, but cannot find the
duplicate bug ... so hopefully someone sees this. The issue for me seems
to occur if you mouse-over a location, then the "Set" button is drawn,
but that redraw causes the panel to resize "offscreen".

I blanked a DVD then tried to burn an ISO image to it.
it fails as brasero claims there is no space on it.
Steps:
- inserted a recorded DVD+RW
- right clicked its icon and selected Blank, left the fast blank option
enabled and blanked the DV
can confirm - the fix didn't work - nautlius crashes. Maybe one should
reopen this or submit the bug as a new one. Don't know how the policy
works here...

that was an issue for me too. I applied the layout settings systemwide
(Preferences -> Keyboard -> Layouts -> delete USA layout and press
button "Apply system wide") and it now works: even in gdm the default
keyboard is Polish, not USA.
my /etc/default/console-setup looks as follows:
$ grep X /etc
It is "pid_get_command_line" in gtkmountoperation-x11.c, but it's not
"cmdline_contents" but "cmdline_len" that is the problem.
"cmdline_len" is coming back from "g_file_get_contents" as 0.
There is then the loop:
for (n = 0; n < cmdline_len - 1; n++)
and "n" and "cmdline_len" are unsigned.

This irritate me too. I dont care I run "gedit". I use the Ubuntu
desktop Text Editor.
It is small issues like this that make Ubuntu look bad to new users, and

- Clicking "remember currently running applications" once (without checking the
"Automatically remember..." box) cannot be disabled; the applications just
start every time Karmic boots up.

same for me here, with 9.10 Karmic 64bit: slider was not moving and I could not
"jump" directly in the middle of a song by grabbing and moving the slider.

I am in fact asking for WVP2, WMA2 & WMAS to be supported by gstreamer
and ffmpeg. If this is not possible due to legal issues or other
roadblocks, please definewhat the issue is with supporting these codecs.

I can confirm this issue with an up to date Ubuntu 9.10 and the .mpeg
file "YOU_FM_YouGotTheLove" from [1]. When pressing the right arrow, the
progress slider jumps back to the start. Pressing the left arrow will
move the slider about 15 seconds back.
It's not reproducibly with every mpg/mpeg file
