The same type of thing is happening to me, Ubuntu is not recognizing my
ipod at all, nothing pops up at all when I plug my ipod into the
computer. I go to rhythm box and it still does not read my Ipod, it use

focus for a split second, as evidenced by "Steps to reproduce, B" in the
original report, and thus not a Flash bug but a gnome-settings-daemon
one, as it happens with ALL global hotkeys, such as launching the E-mail

Odd that this is registered against metacity; the key combo works fine
in metacity, it's compiz where it (still) doesn't work. But whatever,
maybe compiz inherits keystrokes from metacity? Anyway, would be really
nice to get this solved, it's my #1 annoyance with compiz.

Same issue on ubuntu karmic i686, updated (gedit 2.28.0-0ubuntu2). On
gedit start, 100% cpu. gksudo gedit works fine. Removing ~/.gnome2/gedit
doesn't help, neither does reinstalling gedit. No files opened. Gdb-

Lucid with current updates shows the same behavior as karmic on my
5810TZ. When I use the brightness buttons on the arrow keys, the
brightness shifts with the first tap of a key and then the system
freezes completely.
