When I restart or shutdown, I get a very unusual screen output like a
terminal command had been ran. It's happened for the last few days and I
just installed the beta 1 release yesterday for a fresh install. I'll

I have the same hard disk, a 4T My Book from WD and I have the same problem.
The details might be a little off because I am not at work at the moment.
I used gparted to create a GUID Partition Table and created a ~3.8T
partition and a ~100G partition.
Disk Utility correctly identified the partit

I've figured out what triggers the behaviour, it happens whenever we use
the touchscreen.
Best short term solution is to disable the touchscreen. To do this on

If gnome-system-tools is deprecated in Gnome3, is the gnome2 package
available? We did have this in 11.04. Is it possible to simply pin the
package for 11.10?

Actually, it can be reproduced at any time on a fresh install by attempting to
open Menu -> System -> Users and Groups. That is what generated an apport crash
of this for me numerous times already in Xubuntu Oneiric Ocelot.
