One of our testers discovered that he has to login twice if he logs out.
This happens on all of our workstations. We've seen this with nvidia,
ati, intel, and virtualbox.
Here is what happens:
1. boot. result: gdm loads.
2. login. result: success.
This bug should not be marked Triaged. Yes, the magnifier can be killed
once it's started (through another terminal), but it still doesn't work,
and is therefore still useless to people with impaired vision.

click any file or folder and choose "Copy" from the menu. The message in

I'm doing some focused desktop testing and today's item is Brasero. The
test case that fails is the attempt to make a VCD from a video file. I
feed Brasero an ogg video file. It then seems to successfully convert
the file to MPEG2. However, on
27;t necessarily care that much about how
efficient my mousing is. :) But with Gnome 3 you're always headed up
to the left corner to switch windows anyway, and having the close button
up there simplifies the thought process a bit, without thinking about it
changing anything. It just makes
inimize and maximize. Gnome 2 is
just a BAD choice for this. It's now a teetering old UI that needs
replaced, not mildly and inexplicably modified... As I said before,
it's like a fresh coat of paint on a house scheduled for demolition the
following week.

I opened F-Spot on the latest Lucid updates and imported various images
(tiff, jpgs, and raw). Trying now to edit a jpg.
Maximized on my netbook (Lenovo S-10) however makes this impossible.

Also, I don't believe I'm using multiple layouts... or at least, i did
not choose to do so. This is a test install, and I chose all defaults
all the way through.
So the DEFAULT gives me apparently multiple layouts then?

I was able to get a similar spelling check issue in gedit (when turning
on autocheck spelling and typing "wouldn't"). Empathy has this bug, but
is ALSO would show "(Hello)" as a spelling error also (where gedit would
not show this as an error).
Firefox does NOT use the same spell checker and does
GUI changes AFTER a product has released are always controversial.
You'll get less complaints by building a whole new Window Manager than
by changing a small usability item. Whatever gets released is pretty
much what you're stuck with, unless you can keep making minor usability
changes/tweak over
Omer, you're correct. Sorry... initially I had included both things in
this bug report, but decided it was probably better to split them into
separate issues. I thought I had removed the Facebook default info from
this one completely, but apparently I failed :)

Non-troll comment for sabdfl or the canonical design team. As a Lucid
tester, how will you get "data" on me as a single user changing back to
the more sane (imo) right side default? Seriously, is there a button
that says, "Send button position gconf data to canonical"? I'll click it
if there is one
