Sorry for the delayed response. After you uncofirmed the bug on your
system, I did some further testing on my system. It seems my initial
description was not completely accurate.

I tried that on a new installation today while testing beta2, the dialog
has a "log in" button which displays an entry letting you write you
username, then you can type you password and login is working, not
confirming the issue on current lucid

the bug is set to low for now because it's affecting only one user, you,
we will change the settings if datas change there, other users are
running without the userlist displayed and not get the issue, the bug is
weird for sure because as said there is no change between the gdm
versions which work
As a sidenote, I know all reporters feel their bug should be the
priority of the entire world. That being said, I do believe having this
bug as "low priority" is a mistake.
Assume you (or someone else) confirms this bug exists, this essentially
means Ubuntu LTS will be unsable in ANY corporate or
sorry if the previous comment was not clear, you correctly guessed the
questions though. it's weird that the update breaks it since the only
changes between those version are a keyboard layout setting one and a
gdmsetup one, nothing should be doing a difference on the login screen
behaviour...
