I've just upgraded from 12.10 to 13.04. The problem also affected fonts in
lightdm greeter and gnome, but fontconfig seemed ok and the fonts in tty1
I was using e17 with Ubuntu 12.10.
After upgrading to 13.04 last week I switched back to Unity.
Startup applications start randomly or not at all.
Nothing fancy, just trying to start xscreensaver, Chrome, Pidgin and
VirtualBox ... sometime Pidgin will start. xscreensaver, Chrome and

Finally I succeeded to make X crashing again, I opened several programs
(Firefox, Chromium, Thunderbird, Calculator, digikam), did some clicks
in them, and closed them again. Then I opened LibreOffice Writer via the
Launcher and got a window ask

Unfortunately, this bug is still present in Poppler 0.20.5 on Ubuntu
13.04.
When I open my test case (attachment 66101) in Evince and try to select
the "2m+α" part, it changes to "20+=" every time. Should I reopen this
bug or file a new one instead?

Just wanted to add to this bug as I have just hit it too.
Tried with multiple CD-Rs and same thing.
Worked fine with 12.10, but since upgrading to 13.04 I have this issue.
I have installed and used xfburn to burn the audio CD I wanted no problem.

With LibreOffice Writer I can reproduce the crash reliably. Right after
login I touch-click its icon in the Launcher, get the dialog to recover
the document of the previous session, I reject, and as soon as I click
"Yes" to confirm, X crashes, a
