I had the same issue (with both Ubuntu 20.04 and 20.10). It does seem to
be resolved after installing a 5.9 Kernel with the above patch applied
(from @coiby https://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-input/msg69458.html.

I've tested the GPG import wizard a few times, including doing a full
dist upgrade from focal to groovy in a VM, and have never seen it stuck
as described.

Most likely that's a network mount, so try removing any of those

Hi Daniel, so I deleted the pulse config, and rebooted, but amazingly my
stupid BIOS doesn't have an option to disable the sound.
Now regardless of the kernel I go into for the output device it shows
"dummy output" and the sound doesn't work. I guess the config is broken
