I'm possibly experiencing this bug, but I'm using the Nvidia proprietary
driver, particularly the 367.57 version.
I tried to switch the clocksource to acpi_pm, as suggested in some forums, but

in this case didn't mean "output scaling".
If we had the fake modes then output scaling wouldn't really be required in

This is also an issue when we have cloned displays.
We need to be able to scale down to a fake mode. My laptop screen only runs at
1080p and if I have an external monitor plugged in with a lower resolution (eg
720), the only valid resolution will be the lower one.

I think the IMEI firmware is a fluke, plus that is not really a solution
for everyone as it is just a windows driver, and not everyone is dual
booting. It's "Intel Management Engine Interface" only reference I can
find to "IMEI" that makes sense.

I worked with Zebra on this and was able to get the scanner working by
reducing the USB polling interval on the scanner to 8msec, the default
is to poll every 3msec. I still believe this is a bug in how xterm
accepts input because of the following:
A) This issue does not occur when accepting input
Here's what xterm is apparently seeing when I scan a barcode and use the
-l option to log the output.

That seems to suggest that a fault has somehow arisen in my usual
account's control files. I'm hoping someone will discover such a fault
and how to correct it
Oh, and another 64bit machine I have with an identical motherboard but
an i3 instead of an i5 DOES carry out auto login OK after power on with
BIOS set to boot up on power resume. Hmmm?

Ubuntu 14.04 has just recently started doing this to me too about a week
ago, today being 2015-04-22. I keep Ubuntu upgraded on this 64bit PC
(Intel i5) to the latest state nearly all the time.

I'm having the same problem except it will hang and will not
successfully reboot or shutdown. It hangs and says there is a stop job
running and it cycles through my nfs mounts continuously. If I umount
from my nfs server before rebooting/shutdown it will work fine.
