Happy it is now resolved for you.
I agree that a far more elegant way of processing preferences with
regard hybrid graphics would be nice. Maybe something that could be
discussed at a future UDS (Ubuntu Developer Summit), as the fact of
integrated graphics and those who add far more powerful

host or no network connection.
As an example. Try via 'Connect to Server' and attempt to make an SSH
connection with no networking enabled.

This happens on occasion and if you revisit the button the tooltip is
within bounds on most occasions.
Tooltips should stay within screen bounds to be readable.
