Brightness control not working after latest update
I don't know if this is related, but I have just encountered some
Evolution folder-moving weirdness in 11.10.
I was trying to rename or move various local folders (maildir) and would
get error messages about non-existent folders/files. I would restart
Evolution and then things would look (more)
I'm using Debian Wheezy, but I tried it on Ubuntu's 3.2.2 source package
and it failed with the same error.
I tried unpacking the package and using patch -p1
52_brightness_in_hardware.patch, and that didn't work.
I tried putting it in the debian/patches directory and using dpkg-buildpackage,

think I am not connected to the internet at all and refuses to enable

the option is grey out but can you use it anyway? there is a known
rendering bug that valid options are incorrectly displayed as
unactivated sometime, they still work though

This issue is reproducible with Intel DX58SO motherboard. It occurs when
when open sites which contains Rich AJAX or flash player. eg Yahoo
Chess. This problem is prominent on Ubuntu Versions greater than 10.04.
I reported this bug Bug 986773 with apport but they also regarded it as
Incomplete.
That's exactly the problem. It never seems to use the *same* instance. A
new instance is always created whether you use -n or not.

Works for me in the unity-2d that is shipped with 12.04, thus setting it
as fix released, please comment if it still does not work for you with
that version.
