Hi,
fine with me.
We just should make sure it fits nicely in the new design but is also
"prominent" enough to be an eye catcher ;)
As I'm a total unqualified person, regarding design and user interface I'm
out from here on :)

Hi,
just wanted to give my 2 cents here.
I'm watching the bnd-maven-plugin for a while now, from my perspective it's
not quite there yet, that's why I would stick with the maven-bundle-plugin
for a while.

Hi,
wouldn't a vagrant box be much better environment for this? Cause in the
end you would want an interactive shell and not a single "process" to call.
Just my 2 cents.

Hi,
just from the side-line, those discussions I've read about (not board :-))
where mostly about the apache-extra binaries. At least that's what I read
there. Maybe one should point out there that it also affects extra sources
like for camel.

sorry to interfere, but shouldn't the vote be on the src package only
("releases be primarily based on a signed source package"), therefore the
"binary" is just a nice topping on top
and this is just a pure makeup failure.
please correct me if I'm wrong :)

sounds good, though jetty 8 is only available for karaf 3.0.0 right now,
since Karaf 2.2.x line still depends on Pax-Web 1.0.x (Jetty 7) and Karaf
2.3.x depends on Pax-Web 1.1 (still Jetty 7).
If you want Jetty 8 you need at least Pax-Web 2.1 or 3.0 (which is soon to
come).
Karaf 3.0.0.RC1 does use

my blog is focused on WAR/WABs I'm gonna try to add some details on how to
achieve this via the whiteboard extender.
It's gonna take a bit :) If it's not possible now, I'm gonna add it for

Well a KAR archive was created for this exact scenario. So if we do this
for std. jars, why would we need kars then?

might be an issue with generics and the official OSGi jars.
Which version is the dependency set to, 4.3.0?
If so switch to 4.3.1 that version supports generics.
just a wild guess ;)

Hi Clause,
thanks for summing up what we talked of on IRC :)
I think it could be even easier.
We could add a bundle tracker for features.xml files that will install
those with the features service.
For this we don't even need a special syntax of the osgi:install url
(and actually if you want a ur
