I just ran the tests of Camel in Action source code with Camel 2.7.0.
There are only two test failed and they are fixed by changing Camel in
Action source code a little bit.
so here is my +1 for this Camel 2.7.0 release.

Willem do you mind giving the Camel 2.7 a test with the Camel in
Action source code? That's a good idea as it has a broad spectrum of
test and covers many/most features we have in Camel.
I'm on the road these times.

Hi Hadrian,
did you rollback the 2.7.0 release ?
On the trunk, I still have 2.8-SNAPSHOT version, so I guess it's not
already done.
I have some patches in preparation but I would like to generate the
patches on the right version :)
Thanks

From the feedback so far, and lack of votes this vote is cancelled and this
release will be dropped.
I will follow up later today with a proposal that I think will be acceptable to
everybody. Once we have confirmation of that we will proceed with a new build.
In the meanwhile please feel free to

I suggest that SMX target Camel 2.8.
As to reiterate the 2.7 release was a sort of early preview for ppl to
test and migrate
Yeah, it's just because the Camel release was already known (which is not the
case for ActiveMQ) :)

As you do for AMQ and the others:

Hi Willem,
Agree that with this patch, Camel 2.7 is able to work only on Karaf 2.2.0 (not
on
Karaf 2.1.x).
I've tested Camel 2.7-SNAPSHOT in Karaf 2.2.0 without problem (using
camel-blueprint, and several camel components including CXF).

FYI, ServiceMix 4.4.0 plans to use Karaf 2.2.0 and Camel 2.7:
http://servicemix.apache.org/roadmap.html
That's why Hadrian's commit could be helpful for the next ServiceMix release.
Without this patch, I need to update the ServiceMix release plan:
- to have ServiceMix 4.4.0 powered by Karaf 2.1.x
Hi Hadrian,
The patch doesn't work on Karaf 2.1.4 and Karaf 2.2.0 so I revert it.
BTW, I sent 2 mail earlier today to tell you the reason why it doesn't work.

total of 5 days to come up with a technical reason pointing to what exactly

I did some tests with reverted apache-camel feature.xml, it both works
for Karaf 2.1.4 and Karaf 2.2.0. When you install the camel-cxf feature,
you need to change as the KARAF-245[1] does.
I will commit a fix of the feature.xml shortly.
