Hi,
Part of the the 4.16 release has scripts in the ide directory (addAIRtoSDK.sh,
setFlashPlayerVersion.sh) that you could run on an older version of the SDK to
get AIR 24 on OSX like so:
./addAIRtoSDK.sh 24.0

Hi Ghazi,
Unfortunately, AIR 24 is trickier than it used to be for Mac users.
AFAICT, the AIR SDK for Mac is now a DMG file and the install scripts
can't handle that. We are trying to get Flex SDK 4.16 out the door and
the installer will handle the DMG file and then we'll add AIR 24 to the
list.

BTW, Installer working fine on Windows as well for the 4.16.0, AIR 24

At some point, we should disable selecting AIR 24+ for Flex SDK less than
4.16.0. How easy would be to do that?

Right. I think right now we get the right output and components look and
are formed as MDL native ones.
But sometimes it doesn't behave as it should. For example, Button is
dispatching "click" event, but Slider is not working since is not
dispatching "valueChange" (I'm with that now).

Right now it's ok, but look into the old code [1]: "mdl-js-spinner" added in
createElement function by classList.add will be ignored and I'm not sure
why. I've tried to dig into the framework code but didn't find why actually
classList is cleared.

The parsing phase is just XML. The manifests then map an XML tag name to
a class Qname like spark.components.Button.
In AS, the XML for MXML should have the xmlns attributes in the
XML.namespaceDeclarations array.
The XML.name() for any node will be a Qname with one of these Namespaces.
