Here are the remaining Apache IDs:
Kiran Komaravolu (kirankom)
Ray Urciuoli (rurcioli)
The list seems to be missing Jim Baker (jimbaker)? See
http://home.apache.org/phonebook?podling=metron. Also, it looks like Bryan

See http://www.apache.org/dev/release-publishing#release_manager and
http://www.apache.org/legal/release-policy.html for information on the
tasks that a release manager performs.

James,
Thanks for asking. Unfortunately my time is stretched a bit thin at this
point, so I won't be able to continue with Metron. I am still very excited
about Metron's probable graduation!

It appears that Contributors are missing from the Transition Issues
permission, which seems odd since Contributors do have the Close Issues and
Resolve Issues permissions. This may be keeping Jon from transitioning the
issue to Done, since Metron has a nonstandard workflow which has Done
instead
It's okay, we don't have to vote to fix a typo. It should be user@ or dev@
instead of issues@. David, we have the ability to administer a few
permissions for the Metron JIRA, so people should email us first before
trying INFRA.

As a mentor, I would also support Metron graduating.

No, we can't host artifacts in a git repo, or on a website. It would be
like distributing a release that hasn't been voted upon.
Regarding message threading, in Gmail adding a [tag] to the subject does
not create a new thread. So the change is not visible in my mailbox unless

James,
Reports are every 3 months now. Podlings only have to report every month
when they are new. Now Metron reports are due in January, April, July, and
October.

I would strongly suggest sending out a summary of any in-person meetings so
that everyone on the mailing lists can see what was discussed.

The sha file is a binary file, so something went wrong in the creation of
this file. This also happened for the last release, so I guess the gpg
command is not working; perhaps you should switch to shasum. There is no
md5 checksum file, which is supposed to be present. Also, I could not
verify the

ounds like we could argue that these 3 files (which are all
identical) are a small amount of source, and we will be allowed to include
them with an appropriate reference in our LICENSE **as long as we never
modify the effective_tld_names.dat files**.

remaining issues to fix:
- an md5 checksum is required:
http://www.apache.org/dev/release-signing.html#basic-facts
- LICENSE and NOTICE still need work; see my previous emails and
http://www.apache.org/dev/licensing-howto.html. I've begun summarizing the

It's definitely possible for software to be distributed under two different
licenses (for example: http://www.eclipse.org/jetty/licenses.php). As the
author, you can correct that license header. Reading the ICLA again may be
helpful for clarification, specifically item 2. Grant of Copyright
I assume you didn't mean "for our next release," as we cannot make any
releases without following Apache guidelines. Incubator release
information is summarized here:
http://incubator.apache.org/guides/releasemanagement.html and Apache
release policy is here: http://apache.org/dev/release.html.

It's not too late to submit our report! We could even add the exciting

with Debo about moving the logo, website, and JIRAs bullets under "How
has the project developed." Also, don't change the list of mentors who
should sign off on the report. The wiki has it correct as follows:
[ ](metron) Billie Rinaldi
[ ](metron) Chris Mattmann
[ ](metron) Owen
