Well, TCP/IP can deliver anything, but as Mike said,
it's about not reinventing the wheel.
In the past two decades, I've worked on many systems that needed RMI
or Corba
.
Being able to deploy in a commercial setting without having to spend
years getting the IT department to approve is a big deal.
