Hi,
we got five +1 votes:
-Matthias Wessendorf
-Andrew Robinson
-Grant Smith
-Simon Lessard
-Adam Winer
Afterwards, we got a -1 from Andrew Robinson, but he made a withdraw
of his -1 vote.
Note, that there is no veto on a release:
http://www.apache.org/foundation/voting.html#ReleaseVotes
But
FYI, remember that my vote is not official, I am a committer, not a
PMC/voting member.

at least three +1 votes were registered doesn't say binding.

That was just an update on the release-voting process ;-)
If for instance, a user finds a very important thing,
I'm actually using the Trinidad component generation at the moment,
but forgot to add the
mfp:implementation-typetrinidad/mfp:implementation-type to my
XML file at first. I noticed that the MyFaces component generator is
ignoring the JSF 1.1 version, and always using ValueExpression in the
code,
that was not related to your vote :-)

If for instance, a user finds a very important thing, that REALLY
needs to be fixed before doing a release. Her/His -1 vote will get
attention as well ;-)

Should this be filed as a bug, or is it a known issue / work in progress?
I think that is the case, because Bruno enabled it (maven-faces-plg)
to generate our JSF 1.2 MyFaces Core stuff.

Yeah, absolutely, I agree. Any reasonable -1 should be
taken seriously, even from a non-committer.

Yeah, no one has had any incentive yet to implement non-Trinidad 1.1
component generation. I don't know anyone that's working on it.

That'd be awesome!
On the topic of what I brought up, would it be better
Mike's suggestion worked, I also found the help docs on the WIKI, I
should have tried a little harder before sending an email :-)
Here is my progress so far:

Will keep working on it as I have time.

Changing my vote to a possible -1 for the release.
I just posted an email about the plugin not including elements from
the faces-config-base.xml into the faces-config.xml. Unless I screwed
up somehow, I'd like to see if this can be fixed before the release.

After investigating the code more, it is working as designed, I just
expected different results. Please disregard this previous email of
mine.
Thanks,

We should probably get serious about at least documenting the big
gotchas of the faces plugin. I've started a subsection at
http://wiki.apache.org/myfaces/Trinidad_Plugins so we at least have
somewhere to put this sort of info. Andrew, stuff like this that you
discover would be great additions.
Hi,
I was running the needed tasks to get the 1.2.3 release of the Apache
MyFaces Trinidad Maven 2 Plugins out. Note, that this is the first version
of the unified Trinidad plugins, that will be used for our JSF 1.1 and
JSF 1.2 CORE.
The artifacts are deployed to my private Apache account ([1]).
