Jira for JSR-301

2007-09-02 Thread Stan Silvert
I'm starting to look at the code Scott posted for JSR-301. I'd like to go ahead and start logging issues that can be quickly cleared up as soon as the code is committed. Can we go ahead and add a "JSR-301" component to jira? We already have a "Portlet_Support" component, but that is for the o

Hi Stan, as this new portlet bridge will not be lumped in to the MyFaces-implementation, this should rather be a new project, just like Orchestra and RCF. Mario, Matthias, Manfred - requesting a new subproject in jira = request on infrastructure, right? regards, Martin On 9/2/07, Stan Silvert

filing an issue against infra is correct. Manfred should be able to do that. On 9/3/07, Martin Marinschek <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi Stan, > > as this new portlet bridge will not be lumped in to the > MyFaces-implementation, this should rather be a new project, just like > Orchestra and RCF.

Should be able to add a new jira project myself. What I need first: - name: "MyFaces JSR-301" sounds very technical :( Is "MyFaces Portlet Bridge" ok? - key: "JSR301", "PBRIDGE", ...? - url: http://myfaces.apache.org/jsr301/ ? - a project lead ? --Manfred On 9/3/07, Matthias Wessendorf <[EMAIL

Hi Manfred, yes to all suggestions - you can put me as a project lead for now, we'll reevaluate later (obviously, the EG lead Michael Freedman will be a good project lead when he joins the team). regards, Martin On 9/3/07, Manfred Geiler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Should be able to add a new

@Matze: Stan meant the URL that the jira page references (referenced). @Stan: No, there is nothing yet at that url as long as this sub-project is not built together with the main site. Well, I changed the URL to https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JSR301 which does not make more sense but might

It's probably too late to do anything about it, but JSR301 seems like a poor name for a few reasons. First, it's not obvious to which apache project the JSR301 issue key belongs, nor is it clear to the uniformed what JSR301 stands for. It'd be the same as naming MyFaces JSR127. Second, there'

I agree on this. I think we were talking about the subproject being named jsf-portlet-bridge or portlet bridge. Should the Jira issues list be the same? Also, presumably this project will cover future JSR's on this same API. Mike Kienenberger wrote: It's probably too late to do anything a

You are right, but: - many Jira-Keys of Apache sub projects do not correspond to their "umbrella" project: TOMAHAWK, TRINIDAD, ... - of course their could be another Apache project implementing JSR301, but the same problem applies to the long name: if we name the sub project "Apache JSF Portlet Bri
