I would very much appreciate it if you (or someone) did this. We
need it for both Struts and Shale (and several jakarta commons
projects).

Assuming you can ssh into people.apache.org...
$ ssh people.apache.org
$ cd /www/people.apache.org/dist/myfaces/builds
$ mkdir 1.1.4 (or whatever)
$ exit
(get your files ready)
$ scp {files} people.apache.org:/www/people.apache.org/dist/myfaces/
builds/1.1.4/
Hope that helps

Another good way to ensure this doesn't happen again is to simply
change the svn:externals to point to http instead of https for the
code that ones that should not be editable. That way, the code comes
along in sort of a 'read only' fashion.

That's not true any more. In fact, it would never make it out of
incubation if it still had LGPL anything. Those have all been
removed or replaced.
Just wanted to clarify.

It would nice if there were a way to toggle the scope, like, if my

another. Hey! I can dream can't I? :)

Not sure about the release plan, but +1 for a quicker release cycle.
Let's not get caught up in the same slow cycle that has affected
Struts for so long.

Project Reports. Now look through some of those reports. Each of those

Sorry for the long post.

+1 You'll find SVN a lot easier whether you are doing command line or GUI
(even as a plugin).
I use command line and Eclipse plugin interchangeably on the same local
checkoutsimply awesome!!

I have not actually signed a release (yet), so I can't say oh, it's so
easy. You might ping Martin, Ted, or Craig (Struts) to see if they can
point you to a better resource or how-to.

If you are familiar with the Struts layout and how we use current
(svn:externals), then take a look at current/build/maven.xml and you'll be
able to put the peices together for how I do this.
Basically, I execute the above script from current/build/.
