Started with a new netbeans directory, rm udir/cdir, waved my hand 3 times over the screean, and rebooted windows. Its no longer stuck. I changed more than one thing, so who knows... But why does it want to download JavaFX for a simple java ant project? -ernie On 2/19/2020 6:12 PM, Ernie

Hi Brad, please try again with a fresh copy of ant. In the past the issue could be traced back to broken ant versions linux distributions were shipping. This is not a general problem as Ubuntu is unaffected, but if I remember correctly SuSE versions were affected. Greetings Matthias Am

Please try to edit the netbeans\etc\netbeans.conf file and try to add on the ends of file this content: netbeans_jdkhome="path to your java jdk or jre" For me it looks as below: netbeans_jdkhome="c:\Program Files\AdoptOpenJDK\jdk-13.0.2.8-hotspot" After that try to run NetBean again. śr., 19
