Hi
I am looking to upgrade some of our dependencies (eg. zlib 1.2.7 to
1.2.8), and need to upload them to our OOO_EXTRAS repository on
SourceForge. Who has or can give me access?
Thank you

So far I've committed a patch to fix #126787 (build breaking regression in

I think Sun Microsystems really had a knack for "comedy build systems" as
someone described them. OpenJDK was similarly painful to compile,

Hi
I am thinking of merging some changes from our gbuild branch

wondering how best to do it.
The gbuild branch and trunk have drifted apart, so my preferred
workflow would be to diff specific files and then copy and paste small

Hi
On FreeBSD, when I try debug dmake modules in AOO with gdb, and use
the "break :" command, I have to specify the filename
only, without a path, otherwise it can't find it. On Linux it always
finds the file, whether an absolute path, relative path, or filename

Hi Lalith
It looks like SbxErrObject is a singleton: if you read errobject.cxx,
you see that SbxErrObject::getErrObject() returns a single static

Why are you reading the main/basic code by the way? Would you like to

We have many different types of tests. The documentation on them is
sparse, scattered and outdated; a Wiki page is sorely needed.

Yes. We have many committers and PMC members, but few are active, and our
total contributions are somewhat low.
A lot of AOO code is generally useful to other projects. I suspect we could

I've been working with Fred Toussi, a very helpful hsqldb developer, on
many CSV handling improvements to hsqldb, in hopes of eventually using
hsqldb in place of our dodgy CSV driver in Base (it has far better SQL

Hi
In build 380, with bootstrapping succeeding and VCVARS32.BAT deleted,
aoo-win7 got far with the build, but apparently hung on "sc deliver" until

If you've been checking the buildbots you'll see that all who don't use
--without-junit are currently broken in ./configure due to junit being too

Sadly it's not that simple: Junit builds with Maven, and Hamcrest with
Gradle.
Is it ok to download the binaries, or is only source code allowed under
ext_sources?

GPL apps are apparently not allowed in the Apple App Store (
http://www.zdnet.com/article/no-gpl-apps-for-apples-app-store/), and if the
source code is under the GPL, it doesn't stop being so in binary form, so
I'd love to know how they get away with it.

Hi
I contacted Infra on HipChat and asked them to fix the buildbots I could
find with the Perl LWP::Protocol::https problem (aoo-w7snap,
openoffice-fbsd-nightly, and openoffice-linux32-nightly) or give me access
to do it myself, and @pono fixed at least the openoffice-linux32-nightly
bot.

Hi Patricia
I think you meant to this send this to the Apache River mailing list, where
Bishnu Gautam asked the question?

Hi
Now that the buildbots work, and we are planning to start with releases
again, it would be nice to have a good set of tests to run against
releases, and running them against nightly builds wouldn't hurt either.
Our unit tests do run during the build and pass, but they cover very
little. Sady,

patches and makes many changes throughout the code, so you probably need to
"dmake clean" before rebuilding.
I haven't fixed the Windows build performance regression caused by issue

Hi Aditya
Welcome to Apache OpenOffice! Your skills sound very useful and I see a
promising future for you here. We appreciate all contributions.
If you plan to get into development, please subscribe to this mailing list
if you haven't already, and start by checking out the source code:
Hi
This is not a mailing list intended for end users, but to answer your
question anyway, I have both 3.2 and 4.1.2 installed on Windows XP, so it
should be possible.

Yes, that site's certificate is issued by Let's Encrypt, which is only
supported starting from Oracle Java 8u101 (
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/34110426/does-java-support-lets-encrypt-certificates).
AFAIK, OpenJDK doesn't come with any certificates upstream, and they're
usually supplied by
