Better reception, please!
Currently I am in a remote location in [Lanzarote][1], and if I need
to make an important phone call, then I revert back to my Keon. Also,
using the same SIM, the Flame only receives 2G while the Keon receives
3G.

tl; dr; if you want to test mozharness changes on try you can do so by
modifying testing/mozharness/mozharness.json [1] and pointing it to your
own repository. This currently *only* applies to desktop, mobile and b2g
test jobs.
Hello all,
As many of you know, mozharness [2] drives most of our
I was thinking of using building a desktop environment that was build using

Does this kind of project already exists ?

Can anyone give me pointers to where I can get the source code and build
instructions for SC6821 and sc7715 SoCs - the two supported by Firefox OS?
I am having a hard time finding any information about sc7715, and what
information exists about sc6821 seems to be outdated. These two don't seem to
Hi,
can anyone give me some pointers to building custom kernel/gonk/gaia for sc6821

I found https://git.mozilla.org/external/sprd-aosp/kernel/common.git
It seems to have recent commits, including to a 3.10 kernel. Is thi

Like:
- Look&feel: It could always be better, but overall the Flame is ok. I like it
to be recognizable as Firefox OS, so some orange is nice, and a logo too.
- Size: it's nice to have a generous screen for emails, etc... But please, not
bigger than this.
- Dual SIM: needless to say, it is a must
Hello,
Is there any plan or working in progress to port Androi print and printservice?
I could help on that if necessary - I am very interested on it :)
Thanks.

Hi,
I need a head start for creating a port of B2G.
Can someone explain what is the B2G Manifest? How can one customize it for a
new device? What needs to be put in it? How to get started?
I mean: If I start using this one

Hi,
Is it possible in FireFox OS to launch/open .html files in a browser from the
filesystem?
For example, can I open the file browser, find an .html file on my external
storage (microSD card), and launch it in the browser?

No, we have nothing started on that topic. Feel free to help!
Hi Ankit,
The window manager of Firefox OS is written in HTML, CSS and JavaScript and
is part of the "system" app in Gaia. You can find the source code here

I'm building for Nexus 5.
I've tried flashing onto both Kitkat and Lollipop base, but neither gets past
the "powered by..." screen.
Does anyone have a Nexus 5 build configuration I could look at to try and see
what's different?

Embarrassingly, I don't actually think that's currently possible. I.e.
we don't have anything similar to a file:// protocol. Mainly because
we have our security model locked down tight enough that this gets
blocked.
That's something that we should figure out how to fix without
impacting our securi
Ankit, your idea will definitely work -- simply start the XWindow with
"B2G Desktop" (the B2G test builds for Linux) -- you don't even need
to compile anything.
The only caveat of this set up is that B2G (and Gaia System) only take
cares of Web Apps hosted in . Back in 2008(!) there

webapps),
but please note current win mgmt is for mobile devices; that is to say, it is
single window only.
