If you
don't think its AGP/USB related this may just be where the problem is.
Only word of caution: Klaus (same thread) reports something apparently
identical on his G550, but alas this couldn't be solved by noDCC, see

I agree with all vendors dropping support in 6-12 months maybe even
commercial video drivers won't support it anymore . that cannot be the
effect you wanted!
I am afraid that I will mysqlf have to review XFree support shortly on
Yoper.

Hello
Ignore my message ... 2 nights without sleep made me not see the obvious!
Found the fix and it is gnome related and not XFree related.

Since I am no programmer I can only offer practical help here to fix it as
I really intend to stay loyal to XFree, I hope that one of you XFree

Mystery solved - kernel issue. Obviously kernel 2.4.19 and 2.4.x, x>=3 don't
go together. All's well now with kernel 2.4.26.
I better don't further investigate as to why my second machine, running on
2.4.18 (!) with a Matrox Millenium II AGP *did* work with 4.4
esent in 4.3.x; I
reported it way back then.
Does anyone have an idea - looks like a bug to me, but I'm no expert.

Hi
Does anyone know (or have some contacts at ATI that knows) what the
current status of XvMc hardware support for radeon cards is?
I'm using a fanless EPIA 5000 with fanless Radeon 9200SE PCI and really
need this for smooth dvd playback.
Thanks in advanced!

hy not just add the "1.2 " before the original text?
1.2 1.4.20040108 Foobar, Inc. Fancypants GL
so you would see that the renderer could support 1.4 if GLX could do it.
@Ian:
its bug #1147

example:
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Radeon 20030328 AGP 2x x86/MMX+/3DNow!+/SSETCL
between SSE and TCL should be a blank.
this bug exists on DRI/MESA, too. But it doesnt exist in the r200 driver.

Hi,
I think this problem was also with the old SIS-DRI-Driver that for Warcraft
III and WineX or Wine the game is completely dark but I still want to
ask you if you could try to fix this in the next Snapshot?
Regards,
Andreas Allacher
but I get back to login mask without X

So my question is this: Is the XEmbed protocol broken, is my X11
server broken, or is my code broken, and in which way.
Any help will be greatly appreciated,
Andreas :-)
