That will have to be in a server version < 5.5.
5.5 uses FormMagick and it is really confusing.

Yes, but it is complicated. Look in /etc/e-smith/web/functions/ibays under
the subheading performCreateIbay and you will see the necessary db entries
and code required.

I have files that need to go between dos (MYOB ,frontpage) AND unix (JBASE)
applications.
I find that i continually have to convert the file types back and forth
using a conversion utility (todos, to unix) before they will work.
Is there a better way.

No, that's not it. I ran into the same problem backing up some files
from my Dad's new Mac to a 5.1.2 SME server. There was *no* PC
involved: These files were copied directly trom the Mac to the SME
server via AppleShare. Some of the files (I have some reason to think

Solved that problem, my error. Now what I am getting is when I try to run make in the

when I type make I get:

Hmmm... In the 5.1 user manual it does say that a Category 4 server is
"up to 500" users, with Heavy useage.
I was under the impression that this was more of a hardware limitation,
than software.
In any case, so far I haven't had any issues with the MITEL SME
software. This contrib item is the
I think I remember reading that SME Server is only designed to support 500
users max. The problem you discovered may never have been addressed because
it was never designed to handle such a large user base.

I believe I may have found a bug in the devinfo-usermanager. (Or more
likely, a limitation in apache) I'm using
devinfo-mitel-usermanager-pkg-0.0.1-6.noarch.rpm.
After adding approx. 1900 users, httpd-admin no longer loaded. It told
me the error occurred on line such and such of
/etc/httpd/adm
Has anyone done this succesfully?
WHen I get to this part of the instructions :
"cd ../
tar zxvf mod_perl-1.26.tar.gz
cd mod_perl-1.26
perl Makefile.PL APACHE_SRC=../apache_1.3.22 DO_HTTPD=1 USE_APACI=1 \
PERL_MARK_WHERE=1 EVERYTHING=1
make "
WHen I run make I get
[root@slash mod_perl-1.

Dan,
Just curious, on the php rpms you build. What are the differences between

wondering if I could use them on my test redhat box.

Not sure this really answers your question although it is related and
someone might find it useful.
I just stumbled across a little program for nix called "CheckInstall" (
http://asic-linux.com.mx/~izto/checkinstall/ ). Looks like it could be
useful in at least getting some rpm's built quickly.
You mean you want to do something like this

Hmm, some may call it the wimpy way out, but I use Midnight Commander

Hi
I am trying to setup virtual domain aliases for an SME server.
Scenario:
We have a "transparent" domain (domain.co.za) on the SME but the user
are part of larger company that has a domain.com, what I need todo is
setup aliases on that domain for local users! i.e. I dont want mail sent

I just tried some searches to e-smith-mod_gzip-1.3.19a-1es.i386.rpm but can't
find it :(
Is this contrib safe to use with SME 5.1.2 and/or SME 5.5?

Darrell, could you please tell us if and where we can still get this rpm? Or is
it also possible to simply install the original mod_gzip rpm instead of the e-
