I think it's just a matter of time before we get automated
"spot-on" translations (Futurist Ray Kurzweil, in his book "The
Age of Spiritual Machines" came up with some very interesting
insights on it, check it out:

I work with parents who exchange text messages with their kids while the
kids are in class at school. I was in a meeting where one person was
receiving and sending texts to her daughter. Her daughter was in class

This reduce the access barrier, but does not enable the participation

i'd say French translation is quite bad;

Based on Alexander's comment in the "Interaction Design in Europe"
thread last week, I decided to try feeding a few IxDA threads through
Google's translation API. Judging from the results, I think it might
be possible to generate language-specific thread digests for the main

We're awaiting confirmation but we HOPE to hold this meeting at the company
where I work, Dare [1]. It's a nice, non-stuffy environment...
Please stay tuned via the Crowdvine list [2] and listen out for
announcements on here nearer the time.

Hi!
I'm also based in India but will be in London for work at the time. I would
just say, could you pick a venue that is find-able even for those of us who
aren't London veterans. :)
Cheers!

Well i would vote Yorkshire Grey, but i am an englishman in chicago, so i

Hey all, I'd like to know what your experiences are with designing
online contests where site visitors get to upload/create stuff on a site

to vote/rate the entries.
Some interesting questions concerning this subject are:

Hello again, What a curious coincidence :) That's when I'll come to London...
Sign-me up for the meeting. Possibly awkward question (just because I didn't
find the info at the site): Do you have to pay to attend this meeting or is it
as casual as it looks? Cheers, Tiago Marques

Jared,
Eye tracking is of value when someone sees something in the data that
leads to a new and valuable insight.
The fact that different observers see different things in the same raw
