Hi Maxi,
Yes, I assume that Nik, Marc and others who draft the marketing wiki
will consider feedback from the community, and the first draft will help
us in the community refine our ideas about what we think is important.

Hi Maxi,
These are 3 tasks "in the middle":
I suppose graphic design & structure are part of the WebCom's work.
General (static) content could be part of the WebCom's job, whereas more
dynamic content (announcements of events, elections etc.) should to my opinion

Thanks for the clarity Marc, there is a very different focus between the
two activities.
My two-cents is what we need here - and what Cameron asked for at the start
of the thread - is volunteers to put time on the table. OSGeo is a
volunteer organization, please in pitch in to make it great.

Thanks Cameron,
I also think that Nik and Marc can start to work on the MarkCom and are
legitimated to do so.
This doesn't need stop the discussion which is aiming at providing positive
aspects: thinking about needs and gaps to be filled and considered is a
worth process.

What did the dutch logo use? Now is a good time since we need new sponsor

Lucas did get back to me directly and I am prepared to purchase the fonts
just so we can get back in the game...

Hi all,
The website is a tool, just as OSGeo-Live is a tool.
The 2 committees (WebCom and MarkCom) are closely related.
In my opinion MarkCom set the goals and probably defines what tools are
needed to reach these goals.
WebCom makes sure one of these tools is up and running.

As we wrap up our OSGeo-Live build and put out a press release, we

Nicolas, Marc,
You both have proposed some excellent ideas on what we should do within
the marketing committee, and I think you are also offering to make it
happen? Thank you.
I suggest put your ideas into the existing marketing wiki, as linked
from here: https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Marketing
Congratulations to Patrick and the WorldWind team!
Hope the WorldWind team will consider joining in
as an OSGeo software project in the near future.

Thanks Gert-Jan for the clarification.
I have some questions that I cannot answer myself not being an expert:
- Who design the website graphic?
- Who decide the content?
- Who decide the structure of the website?
