Yeah, I'm also a little confused as to how could you do that unless the
SB2 itself supported ssh tunneling?
Perhaps you open the SSH tunnel on a local PC, and then point the SB at
that machine as the server? (he says, guessing)

I have my library organized by directory structure. I always use
"Browse Music Folder", and I make heavy use of symlinks for cross
referencing. For example...
/classical/composers/bach/keyboard/wtc/gould
/classical/performers/piano/gould/bach/wtc
...the first path is the actual directory of Gl

search results without the server dying. But if I type just a single
character, and wait about 1/2 second before continuing, the server will
always crash. And even if I do get results, backspacing to change the

Ah...I forgot all about the RealSlim service, because it never worked
for me. I basically run HookAndDie manually after starting Rhapsody
manually...kind of a nuisance, but that's basically all RealSlim does,
AFAIK.

Slim doesn't "broadcast", but you can certainly connect from any IP in
the world given your firewall is set to allow ports 9000 and 3483
incoming and forwarded to your servers IP address (and the local
firewall isn't blocking). If you have a trustworthy friend, ask them
to download softsqueeze, c
What about a list of recent searches, sometimes I find myself looking
for an artist again (after listening to a different one). Maybe a
list of the last five search terms. It would save a bit of key punching.

BTW I believe 6.2 is a far better choice if you're an iTunes user.

What kind of delay would you want? Obviously the delay and mix levels
would be configurable but I'm guessing you'd want a range of 0 to
