library will generate a lot of info but I think you start monitoring
when you are sure no files are corrupted and then initiate scanning.

I have been using iTunes to manage music folders as well as converting
CD's to Apple lossless. This was working fine with Slimserver for many
months now.
Last night I imported a new CD, did a re-scan and Slimserver turned up

(Hi Fi shop), but any decent retailer should be able to source them. You can buy
cheap ones via E-bay but I could not vouch for quality.
Personally I would avoid any of the cheapos and invest in a good

the way i maintain artwork is to let WiMP get it for me while i rip with
EAC, as i've talked about in other threads, this works quite well.
however, i have friends who use MusicMatch and other programs (itunes
as well i think?) that apparently ignore Album art unless its in the
individual mp3
I was able to get slim server running in a cmd window by typing
slim.exe in the c:\program files\slimserver\server folder.
Slim.exe is shown as a process in task manager and the cmd window is
still open.
the event log has some good stuff in it. messages containing start
controls as well as
one more piece of information. i went to services and started the
slimservice. I get this message:

I regularly hear an audible click through my speakers, even when I'm
not listening to music. (To be ready whenever I power on my
Squeezebox, Slim Server is always running. At least on the program
bar.) The click happens every couple minutes or so. I use a switch,

This little script should do the trick if you run slimserver on
Linux/UNIX. Run daily from your crontab or put in cron.daily.
Change the value of PD to where your playlists are.

Does anyone have any idea why this radio station works perfectly fine on
SoftSqueeze but will not work at all on a SqueezeBox 2? The SB2 just

Also, I noticed that SlimServer does not seem to be able to parse ASX
playlists that are referenced from within other playlists (ASX, M3U or
PLS). This is a major limitation since the underlying stream (i.e. the
hidden mms stream) often changes or gets assigned

Any word on when we might see gapless playback of flacs when two
squeezeboxes are sync'd?
Is this impossible to fix or is there a plan?
I was excited to get a 2nd squeezebox but this kind of sucks since I
mainly listen to live recordings.
