Any word on when we might see gapless playback of flacs when two
squeezeboxes are sync'd?
Is this impossible to fix or is there a plan?
I was excited to get a 2nd squeezebox but this kind of sucks since I
mainly listen to live recordings.

Also, I noticed that SlimServer does not seem to be able to parse ASX
playlists that are referenced from within other playlists (ASX, M3U or
PLS). This is a major limitation since the underlying stream (i.e. the
hidden mms stream) often changes or gets assigned dy
Please try the latest 6.5 nightly (tonight's contains major WMA
changes). This station works fine for me.

Does anyone have any idea why this radio station works perfectly fine on
SoftSqueeze but will not work at all on a SqueezeBox 2? The SB2 just
says "CONNECTING..." indefinitely.

This little script should do the trick if you run slimserver on
Linux/UNIX. Run daily from your crontab or put in cron.daily.
Change the value of PD to where your playlists are.

I have some mp3's which are encoded at 384kbps and softsqueeze doesn't
seem to want to play them. The fact that they are at this high bitrate
seems to be the only difference between the files that will and won't
play.
Have I made a mistake encoding files at this high bitrate?

i keep my artwork for my mp3s in the floder, not the tag, and now that
i've learned how to do it right in SS, it works fine.

I was able to get slim server running in a cmd window by typing
"slim.exe" in the c:\program files\slimserver\server folder.
Slim.exe is shown as a process in task manager and the cmd window is
still open.
the event log has some good stuff in it. messages containing start
controls as well as
the way i maintain artwork is to let WiMP get it for me while i rip with
EAC, as i've talked about in other threads, this works quite well.
however, i have friends who use MusicMatch and other programs (itunes
as well i think?) that apparently ignore Album art unless its in the
individual mp3 tag

Before I bought a new quad receiver I used a set of Logitech speakers
with a subwoofer. They plug into the Squeezebox like headphones, and
sounded quite good.
Of course the new Sony receiver connected with an optical cable sounds
better...but not that much better, at least to my non-audiophile
Some of my albums play each track twice. If the album has tracks A, B
and C, it plays as A A B B C C.
All the albums were ripped to flac the same way, but it only happens
with some of them. I have not edited the flac files after ripping.
Hardware is a Squeezebox 3, with SlimServer 6.3.1 on W
It was marked 5v 2.0 amp.

My one isn't integrated with the plug like the SB3 ones, it has a two
pin "figure of 8" connector at one end. Should be rated for 1600mA
according to the Wiki

have the latest update of Real Rhapsody. The Slimserver can see all my
Rhapsody playlists, but when I attempt to start them from within the
Slimserver, Rhapsody suddenly logs out, logs in, logs out, logs in,
logs out ... The Slim
LCD screens can also suffer from burn-in too.
No way.. that's impossible with LCD technology. However, they can
"suffer" from temporary image retention. It is far from permanent, like
burn-in is.

Everyone likes something different, but I may as well chip in anyway :)
I prefer Plasma screens as the are brighter, have better colours and
motion is a lot smoother on them.
Admitedly there are very few 37inch plasmas, i think Panasonic are
about the only ones that make/sell them, and they are
